What is NMMCPA about?
The purpose for this corporation is to build a strong, healthy New Mexico Medical Cannabis Community through collaboration with patients, producers, industry experts & the NM Department of Health. This in the hopes of developing, advancing and protecting the integrity of the New Mexico Cannabis program, its patients and their medicinal needs.
Do I have to be a Medical Cannabis Patient?
No, you don’t have to be a Patient to join. You can be an Advocate, Supporting Family Member or Friend, Business in the community. www.nm_mcpa.com
What if I want to be a part of the NMMCPA but don’t want to be a member?
You can be a supporter and attend meetings without being a member. You will not be able to take advantage of Member benefits or voting for annual Elections in May.
As a supporter only, will I be able to join all events?
Yes, you may have to pay a small fee to some venues, but can still attend all events, meetings, or classes. Who do I speak to about becoming a member? At every monthly meeting, we also have applications online, and in our Facebook discussion group to fill out and send in if you are a rural patient.

How do I make a donation?

Is this a non-profit organization?
We are a domestic nonprofit organization in the State of New Mexico.
How are the organizations funds used?
All funds are used to benefit the Patients, Patients Events, focusing on MCP renewals and community awareness.
Are you Advocates?
Many of us are Patients, some are not. We do take on specific related causes or occasional case by case Patient causes.
What Is Advocacy?
Advocacy is as basic as speaking on behalf on one’s self or others to get something done, promote awareness to a cause, need or concern.
Why should I be an Advocate?
The most obvious reason to be an Advocate is because you care. It follows that you want to help ensure that important policies are made within the MCP at a local, state and federal level.
It is important that our voice is loud and strong and articulated properly to local and state policy makers adopt, implement and maintain certain future and current rights as Medical Cannabis Patients.
Why Become a Member?
Patients united to be part of the effort of change to protect our States Medical Cannabis Program and advance and protect the integrity of New Medical Cannabis program and the interest of its Patients, to promote Cannabis as a medicine; Annual Patients events, education within the Medical Cannabis Industry from local experts and dispensaries, a growing list of benefits, Patients meeting and helping Patients.
All funds are used to benefit the Patients, Patients Events, and our main goal is Alliance Meeting-Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month.
