The 3rd CannaEast Compliance Summit 2018 is coming to Lake Buena Vista, Florida from January 17-19, 2018. After two successful compliance summits on the west coast, event organizer Infocast is bringing together various speakers and educators from the cannabis and legal industry – as well as government officials – to teach attendees about the regulatory, compliance, legal, business and technical challenges they can expect in the legal cannabis industry.
“Both current and former regulators on the East Coast approached us after the July Canna West event in Los Angeles,” Vladka Anderson, Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development for Infocast, told The Marijuana Times. “They asked if we could make the event more accessible to the East Coast, as there is need within the industry for information about cannabis compliance and product safety.”
There is no doubt that compliance is the number one issue facing companies in the legal marijuana industry today. You can have the best business plan in the world, but if you don’t follow the laws and regulations in your state, it won’t matter.
“Our goal was to create a forum where leading regulators from various states can gather and discuss efficient practices to both regulate the cannabis industry and implement regulations within their own states,” Vladka told us. The see the events as ultimately helping the “industry develop ideal testing methods to ensure quality and safety of cannabis products, as well as initiate a wave to create uniformed national testing standards.”
Infocast has taken all they learned from the first two summits in the form of feedback from attendees and has created the biggest summit yet. “Thanks to past feedback, our variety of session topics has expanded tremendously, in addition to the core issues of regulatory and testing compliance rules,” Vladka said. “Coverage for our East Coast event will examine cultivation practices to grow products free of both mold and pesticide, food safety in in the manufacturing of cannabis infused edibles, and how to best implement seed-to-sale tracking systems.”
If you are opening a business in the legal cannabis industry, you need to be in Florida from January 17th to the 19th to learn the latest on being safe and compliant in the industry.
“We strive to exceed attendee expectations by providing up-to-date high level content to all participants, specific solutions for overcoming current market challenges, and most importantly – the opportunity to build foundational business relationships with key industry stakeholders,” Vladka told us about what attendees can expect to learn from the conference.
